Meet Shankar
Shankar Rawlley is a Delhi – based multi – instrumentalist, singer – songwriter and producer, who excels in genres like hindustani classical, semi – classical as well as contemporary.
My musical journey began in my school days when I once took part in a singing competition and won the first prize. After this, I started learning hindustani classical music. A year later I was introduced to Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi where my love for music became deeper over the years and I decided that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I have been fortunate enough to have gotten the opportunity to learn from various prominent artists that include Pt. Sarathi Chatterjee, Pt. Madhup Mudgal, Shri Vivek Bhola, and Shri kshitij Mathur. Sometime in 2013, I started learning the guitar which had fascinated me since I first heard the soft hum of guitar strings.
